Heavenly Ski Resort will be heavenly for skiers and snow boarders alike. They have ski jumps and a terrain park for snowboarding and tubing. There is lodging nearby for every taste and budget. Alpine Meadows has a great après ski scene with sun decks, live music, and a resort casino. Lodging at inns, hotels, and lodges starts at $69.00 per night.

Sierra Ski Resort is 12 miles west of Lake Tahoe and fairly closes to Sacramento. They’re known for their great tree skiing and family programs. The snowboard park has been voted one of the top ten in the country. Kirkwood has the deepest snowfall in the area. It’s perfect for skiing, cross country, snow shoeing, snow boarding, and dog sled tours. They also have zip line canopy tours, not something you see every day.
